Graphene veil prevents fading

Atomically-thin graphene lattices are being used as a barrier against ageing

Colour fading caused by ultraviolet light, oxygen or moisture is a major problem for painted artworks. This is why scientists at the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas have developed a graphene veil that can prevent up to 70% of colour fading.
