Image

Use this experiment to show your learners how to make and analyse the properties of a lake pigment paint

This experiment is designed for secondary students, aged both 14–16 and 16–18, to show them the way artists used scienctific methods to create pigments. It will help them develop practical skills by preparing lake pigment paints using buckthorn, determine whether chemical reactions have occurred and anaylse the resultant property changes.
