Use this demonstration and practical to investigate properties of hydrogen chloride, such as its solubility in water. 

For this practical lesson, learners begin by observing a demonstration in which the teacher prepares hydrogen chloride gas and uses a fountain experiment to illustrate its solubility in water, forming hydrochloric acid.
