Learning objectives

Participants will learn about:

  • the strengths and limitations of models used to teach structure and bonding
  • diagnostic tools that can be used to identify common misconceptions held by students
  • resources and practical activities to support the learning of structure and bonding

Learning outcomes

Participants will be able to:

  • evaluate the models used to teach structure and bonding at pre-16 level
  • consider the use of diagnostic tools to assess student understanding of structure and bonding
  • develop student understanding of structure and bonding using a range of pedagogies in the classroom
