The British Science Association is offering funding to schools to run activities during National Science and Engineering Week (NSEW) 2013
The Kick-Start Fund is designed to help schools in challenging circumstances create a buzz around science, inspire staff, pupils and parents.
To be eligible for a grant, schools must either have a high proportion of pupils from ethnic minority backgrounds, have a high proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals, or be a small school based in a remote and rural location.
Next year the NSEW runs from 15 - 24 March. The theme is 'invention and discovery'.
The deadline for funding applications is 12 November. Further details are available on the British Science Association website.
