How to model and develop students’ knowledge

Modelling your own knowledge helps students to develop their metacognitive knowledge. You can do this by thinking aloud and talking through how you solve a problem. This article explores the ’I do, we do, you do’ concept – first modelling your approach, then doing it with students, before they do it on their own.
