Pick a tale of a chemistry discovery (or disagreement!) to tell your students from these examples, complete with teaching tips
Everyone tells stories, and for many different reasons. They are a valuable learning tool in the chemistry classroom. The right story, delivered well, can engage, extend and inspire. Stories are about human connection and chemistry is a human pursuit, not an abstract one. This article, written by a former science teacher, explores the use of storytelling in chemistry lessons for learners of all ages. It gives ideas for how to structure your story and shares example stories.
