Boost your teaching of scientific skills
Find strategies and activities in our new weekly content stream
Teaching scientific skills is an important part of teaching science, however the sheer volume of content can be overwhelming in science curriculums. That’s why the RSC’s Education team have created a series of weekly articles bringing you:
- strategies to embed skills teaching in your current schemes of work
- classroom activities to download
- ideas to help you connect with other key departments
Read the first article in the series on improving your students’ literacy skills.
New primary resource pack: STEM careers and skills
Help your learners explore scientific careers with engaging posters and games
Get your primary learners excited about STEM skills and careers with our new activity pack. Designed to be tailored by age range and curriculum topic, the resources come with a teacher guide that shows you exactly what these resources are, how they work and how to use them.
Celebrating women in the chemical sciences
Join us on February 14 for the Global Women’s Breakfast
The RSC’s Inclusion and diversity team is hosting an event for this year’s IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast – and you’re invited to join us. The event will take place in London (and via livestream), centred around this year’s theme: breaking barriers in science. Hear from our panellists about their work in science geared towards sustainable development, and make connections at our meet and greet session.
Everyone is welcome, and it’s free to attend (but in-person places are limited).
Don’t miss our teacher support sessions
Live sessions to support your professional learning this spring term
Our teacher support programme offers 60-minute sessions you can easily fit into your afternoon. Delivered by your education coordinators, the sessions will support you with new ideas and resources for teaching. Join us for one or all of our upcoming opportunities, including:
