Engage your students with microscale practicals

We've collected all our microscale resources and articles in one brilliant bonanza to help you and your students. Discover how and why microscale can help your students observe, connect and relate to practical work. Microscale experiments are safer, easier to set up, and can be carried out using only small quantities of chemicals and basic apparatus. From a microscale escape-the-classroom activity to redox, displacement and diffusion, there's plenty to explore.

Recognise your technical workforce

Apply for the Technical Champions quality mark

Technicians are an essential part of any successful school or college staff – and yet they are often underutilised and their roles not fully understood. The new Technical Champions scheme is a quality mark accrediting UK schools that fully support and recognise the importance of their technical workforce.

Accreditation lasts for three years, and any secondary school or FE college in the UK is eligible to apply. If your application is successful, you’ll receive a certification pack, digital banners for web and print, as well as detailed feedback and continued online support.
