Help make a real difference in science education
The 2025 Science Teaching Survey is open now.
You work in education, which means you understand the challenges better than anyone.
The Science Teaching Survey is the largest science education survey in the UK and Ireland. In this year’s survey, we’re asking what you need: the missing tools, resources and approaches that could make a real difference.
Tell us where the gaps are – and we’ll put the full force of the RSC into helping fill them.
Sustained professional development
We understand that delivering practical work can be challenging. Our newest course is designed to help increase teachers’ confidence in running practical work, covering:
- tips and techniques for classroom management
- how to organise and run practical work in lessons
Effective delivery of practical work
A free, four-session professional development course from the RSC.
New downloads to inspire your students
We know your students care about their future careers in chemistry.
That’s why we’ve designed posters to showcase how chemistry can open doors and unlock a better future. This is the result of the Future Workforce and Educational Pathways report which identified what our industry needs to do to prepare the chemical sciences workforce of tomorrow.
Our posters are designed to be ink friendly and mostly white, so they are easy to print at school.
Give your technical support staff the #TECHOGNITION they deserve
Don’t miss your chance to recognise technical support staff play for the key role they play in education – recognise them on 27 March.
#TECHOGNITION is a one-day event that celebrates the work of school and FE college technicians with the aim of publicly showcasing the vast array of skills and tasks these jobs entail.
We encourage technical staff in UK schools and colleges to upload photos of themselves or their colleagues performing any one of the vast and varied jobs they do to this website and to social media alongside the hashtag #TECHOGNITION. Make sure to tag the RSC too on social using @roysocchem.
