Thursday 1 October, 7–8pm BST, online

Explore the support available from Science and plants for schools (SAPS), with guidance on resources and training to enhance your biology teaching.
Session outcomes
By the end of this session, you will:
- Know where to go for help and support for teaching biology using plants
- Have explored resources developed for teaching key principles of biology
Session information
This session will give you a brief introduction to SAPS and its mission to engage people to become more interested in plant science. As all science teachers teach some biology, you will explore a range of freely available resources and training opportunities. This includes support for non-specialists and practical classroom materials designed to build confidence in teaching biology.
This is part of the early career teacher support series. The series is fully funded, delivered online and aimed at early career teachers (up to five years’ experience), with value for all science teachers seeking a refresher.
This session is developed in line with our professional development standards.
