Alastair Gittner

After five years in medical research at Cambridge University Alastair completed his PGCE at Homerton College in 1994. Since then he has taught in schools in Cambridgeshire and Yorkshire where he has been head of science and held a number of senior leadership positions. He has always been interested in the application of research in education, starting off with the CASE project 20 years ago. He is currently project director on the SMART Spaces project, which is undergoing efficacy trials with the EEF. He currently works at Notre Dame High School, Sheffield where he leads on its recently acquired Associate Research School status.
