Help your students learn how to keep the laboratory safe

Risk assessment helps students and teachers alike to stay safe. It is essential that all secondary school chemistry students learn in a structured way the risks that are ever-present in a laboratory setting. In this article, a teacher shares how they help their learners to do this, from the basics of using a Bunsen burner to complex experiments. They also suggest resources that can be used in this teaching.
