Risk assessment helps students and teachers alike to stay safe. It is essential that all secondary school chemistry students learn in a structured way the risks that are ever-present in a laboratory setting. In this article, a teacher shares how they help their learners to do this, from the basics of using a Bunsen burner to complex experiments.
