
Michael Prince
Michael is a senior lead practitioner and member of the extended senior leadership team, contributing to the school’s teaching and learning strategy through curriculum development, staff coaching and professional development. He has been teaching secondary science for 14 years and has a master’s in emotional factors in teaching and learning from the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust, a BSc in pharmacology from the University of Bristol and a national professional qualification for senior leadership (NPQSL).
Through the Professional Learning Network (PLN), an Ambition Institute delivery partner, Michael delivers national Early Career Framework training for early career teachers and mentors. His professional interests include evidence-informed teaching, curriculum design, teacher development and inclusion, with a particular focus on how cognitive science and coaching can enhance classroom practice and school culture.
Outside of education, Michael is a keen pianist and recently composed his first piece of music.
