Mustafa Mahmoud
Mustafa Mahmoud is a secondary school of chemistry and physics teacher and former RSC scholar. His background includes a masters in pure chemistry, as well as a doctorate in computational chemistry. This bridged the gap between chemistry and physics and focused on designing graphene nanoflake models to make cement more durable.
One of Mustafa's interests is making science more accessible for all through including relevant links to a pupil's daily life to the topic he is teaching, increasing uptake of participation in enrichment and adopting a teaching approach that leaves no one behind. Because of this he likes to always keep up with his academic reading to look for new ideas and be well informed. Mustafa's interest and his current role as the science enrichment and extracurricular coordinator go hand in hand.
