
Phoebe Greenway
Phoebe is an experienced secondary school chemistry teacher, working in an independent girls’ school in Guildford, Surrey. She is also head of sixth form, year 12 and overseas universities lead, which involves helping students with their higher education applications. She has a masters in learning and teaching from the University of Oxford, with a research focus on feedback and growth mindset, exploring the power of grit and DIRT tasks. She loves being in the classroom, sharing her love of chemistry and helping pupils to achieve their lightbulb moments. She is a big fan of the power of low-stakes retrieval activities to glean insight into pupils’ understanding and has a reputation amongst the department and pupils for her renowned whiteboard quizzes.
