Learning about materials: aspects of the platinum group metals

The Learning about materials resources collection presents educational resources about materials in the form of teacher’s notes and photocopiable worksheets. This resource is a teaching and comprehension exercise. It is based on the principles by which the platinum group metals are extracted and separated from a solution of the platinum group metal in 6 mol dm^–3 hydrochloric acid.
