Sarah Poore

Sarah is an experienced secondary school science teacher and is now delighted to be involved in initial teacher training (ITT). She is the course leader for secondary PGCE biology, chemistry and physics at University of Brighton. She also manages the science subject knowledge enhancement (SKE) courses at University of Brighton.

Sarah is passionate about connecting with children on a human level and welcoming them into science lessons. She is interested in how to adapt science teaching to make lessons engaging, accessible and joyful for children. She is also interested in how to support international trainee teachers to navigate their way through moving to and training to teach in a new country and culture. She is part of a special interest group with UCET related to supporting international trainees.
