Develop your learners’ evaluation, extended writing and maths skills in the context of polymers

Learners can find open-ended questions that require evaluation particularly challenging. This activity allows your GCSE and equivalent learners to practise this skill in the context of life cycle assessments for different ways of disposing of plastics, such as recycling poly(ethylene terephthalate). The activity also gives learners more experience of writing extended-response answers and solving context-based mathematical questions.  Link to your lessons on energy, greenhouse gas emmissions, raw materials and polymerisation too.
