Eleanor Clapp

After graduating from Cambridge University with a degree in pathology, Eleanor began her career as a commercial property solicitor, before starting her own basketmaking business and working as a primary school teaching assistant, teaching science and computing. She completed a PGCE in biology in 2022, but now mainly teaches physics from age 11 to 18.

Eleanor has always enjoyed making things from wool, fabric, willow and anything else she can lay her hands on and is keen to use her skills to help in the learning and understanding of science. She was chair of her local preschool for over a decade, is a governor at her local secondary school and is a Scouts' volunteer in addition to being involved in various community groups and a trustee of John Huntingdon’s Charity for over 15 years.
