Nominate now for our 2020 education awards
The nominations for the Royal Society of Chemistry’s 2020 awards are now open. This includes our awards for education: the Education award, the Higher Education Teaching award, the Higher Education Technical Excellence award, the Inspiration and Industry award and the Schools Education Award.
Recognise and celebrate best practice in your institution by nominating an individual (teacher or technician) or a team, for one of our awards. Winners benefit from prizes that include funding and the chance to raise the profile of their work more widely in the education community.

If you can make your lessons accessible to those with SEND, then they’re truly inclusive.
To help you do that we’ve produced a series of four articles containing advice and tips on how to support students with difficulties in areas such as literacy and manipulative skills.
Come and see us on stand DS17 at ASE
We’ll be on stand at ASE in Reading (9–11 January 2020), showcasing our new website and answering your questions about all of the support you can get from the Royal Society of Chemistry. We’ll also be hosting a session about how you can set up your own events to share best practice in your area.
So, if you’ll be at ASE, come to stand DS17 to find out more about how we can support you in your school.
Are you interested in events for early-career chemistry teachers?
We want to make sure teachers are fully supported during the critical early years of their careers. That’s why on 23 August, we hosted our first early-career chemistry teacher event at Burlington House. This event offered teachers at the beginning of their careers the opportunity to network with other teachers and access advice from teacher-support organisations.
You can find out more about this event and register your interest in attending similar events in the future on our website.
