How to develop your students’ science vocabulary
Developing literacy is a bit like driving a car. You don’t get better at it by talking about it, you must actively use your skills to improve. This is true for learning to use scientific vocabulary too, so introduce language carefully in class, and encourage students to use it, taking the fear out of speaking, writing and reading chemisty texts
