Joel Kenyon

Originally from Liverpool, Joel began his career after earning a BSc (Hons) in biology from Liverpool John Moores University, followed by a PGCE from Liverpool Hope University. He then spent several years teaching in London, gaining valuable experience before making the decision to bring this experience back up north.

His teaching is driven by a passion for not just imparting scientific knowledge, but for bringing the science to life. He focuses on exploring the wider history of science and experimenting with new pedagogical approaches to make complex ideas feel approachable and exciting. In the classroom, his goal is to help students reconnect with the inherent joy of science and to foster a genuine sense of wonder about the world around them.
