Martina Hestericova
Martina is a freelance science writer based in Basel, Switzerland. After finishing her Bachelor’s in biochemistry and Master’s in bioorganic chemistry at the Comenius University in Slovakia, she moved to Switzerland for her PhD in the development of artificial metalloenzymes at the University of Basel.
Martina covers a variety of topics ranging from physics, chemistry and biology to space exploration, mental health and equal opportunities in science. Her articles regularly appear in national daily newspapers in Slovakia and in Chemistry World, Physics World, Physics Today and more.
After finishing her studies, Martina now focuses on identifying extractables and leachables from single-use materials.
