Matt Wilson
Matt has a PhD in inorganic chemistry from the University of Edinburgh, specialising in solvent extraction of platinum group metals (PGMs). During his studies, he enjoyed supporting undergraduate students in labs and projects and realised that his passion was in education. After pursuing a qualification in secondary teaching, he has been working as a chemistry teacher in Edinburgh for the last 10 years, teaching students from all levels.
Matt is particularly passionate about making chemistry relevant to students by relating it to real life scenarios and finding ways to convey abstract concepts through analogies while avoiding misconceptions.
