Mental health in focus in May
Mental Health Awareness week may be over for this year, but it’s never too late to take some time to focus on our mental well-being. Education in Chemistry (EiC) have collated their well-being support and advice in one place – and it’s all tailored for those working in education.
On EiC’s well-being hub you’ll find real mental health stories shared by teachers, ideas for self-care, and information about where to get help with your well-being. There's also a guide to spotting the signs of stress in your colleagues and the best way to offer support.

Science T-levels to help close the technical skills gap and diversify workforce
The Royal Society of Chemistry has been engaging with the government in development of the new T-level qualifications. Students will study specialised curricula and undertake a 45 day work placement, gaining valuable experience to allow progression once they gain their T-level.
It’s hoped that T-level qualifications could play a role in closing the skills gap for this part of the sector, and add diversity to the scientific workforce. Could they be the right path for your pupils?
