Illustrate the effect of a catalyst as sodium thiosulfate is oxidised by hydrogen peroxide in this demonstration. Includes kit list and safety instructions.

Hydrogen peroxide oxidises sodium thiosulfate to sulfuric acid. In this experiment, students follow the resulting pH change and observe the effect of adding an ammonium molybdate catalyst using universal indicator.
