About this resource
These Knowledge check worksheets provide a series of questions to assess learners’ knowledge and understanding and are best used at the end of a period of teaching or as revision.
Both worksheets are available as fully-editable versions so you can adapt them to suit learners’ needs. Use for individual work with your foundation or higher class or as homework.
Content includes:
- chemical formulas of elements that exist as molecules – molecular compounds and ionic compounds
- stating the number and types of elements from chemical formulas
- writing chemical formulas based on ball-and-stick models
- comparing empirical formulas and structural formulas
- using state symbols in chemical equations
- naming compounds with different charges on the metal ions (higher only)
