The impact of solar power

People who have unreliable or no access to electricity find their lives changed for the better if they do have access to reliable electricity. One of the ways of providing them with reliable electricity is for them to be able to generate electricity from renewable sources such as wind turbines or solar panels.

Download the resource and set your learners the following tasks:

1. Read the statements from a child, shopkeeper, doctor and more. 
2. Cut out the diamonds, each one being an advantage of solar energy, and arrange them in a pyramid shape. Put the most important feature of solar energy at the top and work your way down to the least important.

Extension: Think about what you would find most important. Does the order of your pyramid change?
