Compounds and formula

The downloadable file below contains compounds and formula card sets.

Simply download, print, and photocopy the cards, cut them up and make them into packs.

You could laminate the cards to make them last longer.

Students work in pairs/small groups in one of the following ways:

Play ‘pairs’. Lay all of the cards face down and take it in turns to turn two over.

If a player selects matching name and formula cards, they keep the pair. If not, they must put the cards back.

The winner is the player with the most pairs at the end.

Simply match the cards, starting with them all face up.
